Postcards from Firenze

David by Michelangelo at Piazza della Signoria. The original David at the Accademia is for your eyes only, you are not allowed to photograph (though some sneak to the corner and snap a quick picture). I was surprised to learn that David was left-handed.
It was a cloudy day and we expected it to rain down on us anytime. After a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, we came out to the see the sunshine piercing through. We were surprised to know that Ponte Vecchio bridge spanning the Arno river was once occupied by butchers.

We walked up to the Fort Belvedere to get a view of Firenze from a different perspective. After an hour accent, we saw that that the place was closed. Sigh! But the accent and decent gave us some unique views of Firenze streets.

Finally, breaking through the grey clouds, the sun was in full swing. By the time the clouds parted, it was almost sunset and it was time for us to go back to our hotel after a long tiring day.
